Daisy ID

I’ve bought this annual(?) daisy in the summer and it’s done so well in the dry weather without any extra care. I’m pretty sure the name on the label was not argyranthemum, but it must be closely related or a hybrid of some sort.
Can anyone help? I just like to know the names of the good-doers in my life. 😊

    I'd call it an argyranthemum, some might call it a margeurite daisy.  Looks like madeira crested hot pink.
  • 🤔 I must look for the label. Thanks, @fidgetbones, I know what you mean. There was a different name on the label though…

    Not sure its an annual though. It looks like the type I take cuttings off each year.

    Is it a half hardy perennial?

    Lots of things that we think of and usually grow as annuals are actually tender perennials. Many people don't have space to keep them going through the winter, or compromise by overwintering small rooted cuttings.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
  • @fidgetbones Are the cuttings easy to overwinter? Can I still do it now?

    @JennyJ Yes tender perennials sorry!

  • I found the label! It does say daisy. It’s Aramis Velvet Red, though it definitely looks pink. Thank you, everyone. I think I might try some cuttings, though I am trying to overwinter a lot of plants. And I only have the windowsills.

    Full name ....Argyranthemum . Maybe Argyranthemum frutescens
    Common name is ...Marguerite

    Argyranthemum  Aramis "Velvet Red"..... surely flowers should be Red?

  • Thank you, @Silver surfer. There was probably a mix up of labels in the garden centre.
