Yeah, don’t eat Polar Bear liver, toxic concentration of Vits. ADEK. If you are a fan @Ergates, I must dig out my pictures from an Arctic trip I medical officered on.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Wow, what an exciting life you’ve had, Punkdoc! Love all animals, but especially whales and dolphins. Must have been amazing to see polar bears in the wild.
Please don't think you are getting enough just because you go outside, or don't have symptoms. I had blood tests done in August one year and they found that I had 1/3 of the vit D I should have had at that time of the year, and only half of the minimum level. That is with having red hair and pale skin, a outdoors job and rarely applying sunscreen.
D was the only vitamin I was low in everything else was within normal ranges. I was prescribed 35um daily for 6 months and then to keep taking 2-3 of them per week.
The only thing that I have noticed change is that I no longer get a long term cough after every cold (6-8 weeks worth) whether that is entirely due to the D3 I can't say but time wise it certainly matches.
Can anyone recommend a good multi-vit that gives a decent amount of vit D?
Yes I already did.
I see your 'joint care' link, but i'm looking for an all round multi vit.
You need to know whether you are deficient of any vitamins first though and should be getting them from a balanced diet. D deficiency is quite common though, esp' in Winter as it's easy to get from sun, but more difficult to get from food.
