Polycarbonate and extra fixing

For the 4th time since we bought a new greenhouse this year, the wind has blown out some of the polycarbonate sheets. I've doubled up on the spring clips, but now I'm wondering if I should use silicon sealant, either in place of the small rubber seal that came with the greenhouse, or as an add-on over the edges of the sheets.
It's a good quality Halls greenhouse, and as far as I know we built it exactly per their specification and we certainly didn't expect it to fall to bits within one year..

That happened to my old greenhouse. OH bought some transparent adhesive tape and stuck it all around the edges.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Ditto here when windy. Tool station sells clear waterproof tape which really helps, plus we have siliconed the panels in.
Our metallurgist neighbour also made and fitted extra roof batons.
I do dread the wind though.
