Variegated weigela
My Weigela is approx 2m tall but due to this summers heat the leaves are all crispy and brown but new growth is appearing on top of the branches.
should I prune it down now or leave it alone to gain its strength again.
thank you

you Arthur1. You can just see the new growth as well.
(I am assuming that there are no problems regarding soil type, aspect, nutrition etc).
thank you again I will prune out the old branches and see what happens next spring.
Thank you
Jane

I'd also wait until next year, and see how it's doing, rather than pruning now, especially as it's a decent size. If you give it too big a haircut now, and get some severe cold weather, it won't do it any favours.
