The tables have turned..

I feed the birds, and now they're feeding me!
Jackdaws keep leaving walnuts in the garden from the tree over the road. 😄

    They're probably hinting that they want a lend of your nut cracker.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Don't let the walnuts seed and take root however, they are the very devil to hoik out with long tap roots that grow very quickly.

    I've already got one, I let it grow to 6ft before chopping it, but its root is under the concrete of the fence post between me and next door, so impossible to remove. I'm going to have to black bag it.
    If only I had an 8 acre garden..

    Yeah maybe, I'm sure they'd show me the same consideration if I left them a pile of nuts and a note on the lawn.. 'lend us yer beaks babbers?' 😄

    I was blaming squirrels. I find them buried in open compost heaps,leaf mould piles,  100 yards from the nearest Walnut tree.

    I'd blame squirrels for that too. 😄
