Rose rust

Have rose rust on a rambler rose. Only started last couple of weeks but leaves are naturally dropping off now. Don’t want to spray. Any advise how I can avoid this next spring. Is there something I can put in place now to help

Are you sure it's rose rust?
Rose rust usually appears in the spring and lasts all season.
At this time of year as the leaves are dying they often look diseased when they're not.

Some info here may help confirm rust or otherwise-

  • Defiantly rose rust I’m afraid. I’ve picked a lot of the infected leaves off but the rambler is to big to get to all
