@Nollie I don't actually, I'll make sure to give that a go! Thank you so much for your other tips too, I don't know what I'd do without this Forum sometimes  :D

May I just ask why you want to grow Artocarpus heterophylus...common name Jackfruit  a huge tropical tree in UK?
    Even the leaves are enormous.

Hi @Silver surfer . I'm growing it as a houseplant. I doubt it'll ever reach that size, but it's a fun little project to look after!

Silver surfer: Are these pics taken in Perthshire?  Wow!

HenryP:  I was confused by your Jackfruit question, I thought that was about winter protection also.  As an houseplant, your leaf drop problem is probably lack of humidity.

No, leaf drop, Bédé, misting for humidity already suggested. It really helps to read the whole thread 😉  No harm in growing things for fun Henry, although I do get exasperated when my OH insists we try growing Med coastal plants like oleander, bougainvillea and plumbago outdoors when they just blacken and die in our frosty mountain winters!

Nollie, cheeky!  I thought that repeating your recommendation just added weight.
