Money plant is turning yellow

Chilly greetings,

I  and my Pilea/Chinese money plant would appreciate some words of wisdom. The plant has started turning yellow. I have had this since January of this year. I’m not sure what happens to it in the winter so the yellowing / shedding of older leaves maybe normal. I do need to divide it as there are new growths. I don’t water it much much as I read they don’t like too much.

Thank you for looking 🎃

What soil is it in, how do you water it, does the pot have drainage and what do you feed it and how often?
It's not so much that they don't like water but they don't like to sit in water. The soil needs to be open and free draining but they like to be watered before getting too dry. Having said that I tend to neglect mine a bit and it doesn't mind getting dry for a while.
If you look at the growth habit of older plants they do tend to have bare stems lower down so shedding some leaves is normal. Mine are losing quite a few at the moment as they work out which leaves they don't want to waste resources on over the winter.
Check your new leaves for greenfly too as the shriveling and light speckles suggest something is sucking sap in there.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Good morning wild edges,

Thank you for your advice. I have checked for flies and there are none. I tipped the plant out it’s pot and it was quite wet, not dripping but wet. I have over watered,  early every week. It has no drainage atm. It was fine in summer but my excess water has upset it.
I will take a chance and repot it with new soil and drainage. Originally the soil was whatever the garden centre used. What soil do you recommend? I read cactus soil is good for these.
