Best indoor potting compost for spider plants?

Hello everyone, I'm about to re-pot two indoor spider plants after they've been living in garden soil for about a year. Can anyone recommend a good over-the-counter compost, please?
Thanks ever so much,
Julia.

The closest to garden soil would be John Innes compost - either JI2 or JI3 but it would need some horticultural grit added ideally, to help with drainage.
But spider plants are pretty tough, so any ordinary multi purpose compost will keep it happy.

Mine get repotted in ordinary multi purpose compost, whatever is available/cheap. They’re tough plants and cope with my regular neglect.

    Same here 👍

They're definitely not too fussy. I've got some that have self-seeded into a pot with a large succulent and that's got a very free-draining cactus compost mix in there which they've thrived in.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
