Echinacea Pallida - potting on?

I have grown some Echinacea Pallida plants from seed.  They are only small plants, in small pots at the moment.  Some of them have roots beginning to protrude from the bottom. Do I pots these on to a larger pot to overwinter, or do I leave them as they are for the winter?
Your advice would be much appreciated

I would pot them on, personally.

They often don't like British winters, so i too would pot them on, and wait till next year to plant them out.

  • Thank you. I shall pot them on tomorrow and find them somewhere sheltered over winter.  Much appreciated!

Pot on because roots are still growing even as top growth dies back.

@Steady Eddie Yes they will continue to grow if only very slowly. They are loved by slugs in early spring, especially if they are small plants. Sometimes they are eaten below ground before they emerge. Good to keep a look out!
