Thornless Loganberry losing rusty leaves

I have a very vigouressly growing thornless Loganberry that produced huge amounts of berries earlier in the year. Once fruiting stopped I cut the stems to the ground and fanned out the green, new for next year.
The leaves from the base along half the now huge plant are red/orange and now dry and crumbling to the touch. Is this late rust, orange rust, autumn or something else? The latter half of the plant has huge dark green leaves ...
Thanks,

@daveeveritt I don't grow fruit but I doubt if it is a problem more than likely the dry summer. The leaves at the base will be the oldest. Welcome, I am sure there are some fruit grower's out there.

  • @Pete.8. Any thoughts?  My Waldo Blackberry is similar. Im hoping nothing to be concerned about.

Mine is still quite a healthy green at the mo, but they'll soon start to turn autumnal then drop. Some wild ones at the fields where I walk with my dog are already turning.
I'd guess a loganberry is similar

  • Thanks @Pete.8.  That's what I was hoping. 😊

I think it depends on the conditions.
I'm sure I recall a recent winter recently when most of the leaves turned red and stayed on all winter.
Other times just a few remain.

  • Just added a few pictures, base of plant, to next section to long view of the fence it's journeying along.

It'll be in the next county soon!
    That looks fine to me.
Depending on weather some or all of the leaves will turn colour and drop.

Part of my Waldo up against the fence in Jan this year - just a couple of leaves and bare canes
