Smoke Bush - Leaves crisping up and turning brown around the edges.

We've had this bush about a year. It was very happy through the spring, flowering really well, but later in summer and into autumn, this is started to happen. It was a very hot and dry summer but we watered it pretty frequently. It lives on our south-east facing balcony in Geneva.

    Looks like drought to me.

I agree - mine (about 20yrs) in the garden looks quite similar due to our sweltering summer.
Hopefully we'll both get nice fresh new leaves again in the spring

Mine too. Lets hope for more rain next summer although I wouldn't say it to a non gardener.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
