Which animal pooped on my patio?

Please can anyone help me identify the poo which I found in my garden this morning? It seems to be made up of a cluster of smaller strands. I have chickens and initially thought rat, but it is massive and does not seem to match the photos of rat droppings that I can find. Could it be some kind of bird perhaps?

Could be woodpigeon (they sometimes do massive ones, poor things...) or blackbird depending what they are eating in your garden.

We had a mystery orange poo on top of our wheelie bin one year which was a similar shape to your one in the photo and it turned out that it was a blackbird that had been eating berries from the pyracantha
