Spider mites
Normally disease-free , my fig tree has been through the wars this year.
There's black sooty cobwebs and skeleton holes in the leaves - spider mite?
There is also what looks like snail or slug damage - something has been taking big chunks out of the leaves ( doesn't look like vine weevil fortunately)
My question is, will the sooty web makers overwinter on the plant? If yes, what should I do?

The sooty mould is caused by fungi that have colonized the droppings of whatever was munching on your fig.
I usually found the culprit behind sooty mould was scale insects.
That was on my Star Jasmine and the mould would mostly was off over winter.
You could confirm spider mites by looking at the back of leaves with a magnifier.
