Plant ID please

On a recent staycation came across 2 plants that caught my eye, particularly for their colour and flowering at this time of the year but not known to me (although the blue one looks a bit like Periwinkle?)
So thought sure someone on the forum will recognise them so I can look out for them at local garden centres - any ideas please 😊

Deep purple flowering plant?

The second is Ceratostigma willmottianum aka Plumbago

My brain has frozen about the first … it’ll come to me … eventually …

My brain froze too Dove and then remembered, it's heliotrope. I hate this aging thing.

  • The first is Heliotrope, the flowers smell like cherry pie!
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

  • Definitely not age 😲 @Uff … I’ve always had a problem with putting names to faces … that’s my excuse, and I’m sticking to it 😇

Well…many thanks to you two very knowledgeable 27 year olds 👍🤣 and Plantminded of the Wirral. I’m liking the idea of cherry pie scented flowers! I’ll have a read up on both now I know what they’re called thanks again 😊
  • Enjoy 😊
