My MP's office sent an "auto response" reply. Apparently his Inbox is full and he needs to Prioritise........... . I suppose dealing with all the tax cuts - capping, uncapping, popping a bit more into the various banker accounts, revampong planning regs. etc. etc. - all takes time doesn't it ????
I've emailed my MP but she was an ardent Brexiter so won't change her mind but I suppose flooding MPs inboxes will at least show that it is a concern of many many people.
In that case she should be decent enough to deliver on the promises her party made about Brexit which were for stronger environmental protections than we had previously.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
On each occasion that I have emailed my MP (Lucy Frazer; Con), I have received the sort of reply that must have been dictated by the Conservative party's PR department or dreamt up by an unpaid intern. The points raised have never been addressed and the reply has been an attempt to push the party line and ignore any worries that I may have. I do not feel that these people, who should represent every one of their constituents, care a fig for views that do not correspond with their own. In marginal seats it may be possible to influence the way an MP votes in the house but when they have a huge majority it is very difficult to be heard as one vote lost makes no difference to them.
