I forgot who has asked but I have Grafin Diana/Dark Desire/Royal Parfuma and it’s a 3 year old bush. Thorny, vigorous, healthy, grows tall each year, love the bronze colour stems, flower colour and strong scent. Agree with @newbie77 that flowers may not open at times (cold, continuous rain etc). Taken this summer. The last 2 pictures I have just taken to show the height and thorns

@Alfie_  There are a couple of reviews for you above.

@owd potter  - I've had Munstead in the ground for a year and, no they are still like small shoots. They might have gone backwards. I think they are planted too close to a Moonlight rose, though about 70cm away. Whatever it is, they really aren't happy.
  • @Fire,
I hope they do better for you potted.
Mine is 1st year and I'd say it has performed well in the pot, produced numerous blooms and been very healthy. Notwthstanding not being watered for nearly a month during the heatwave, it again responded well and has produced another floriferous late flush. So I'd say I have been happy with it potted.
But look at it! it's growth is all over the place which, TBF, maybe it's habit anyway.
I think I want it for my new red border anyway, but would be nice to hear report from someone who has gone from pot to ground with one.
Just another day at the plant...

It sounds like Munstead does have a messy habit, but I don't mind that. I bought it for the colour and scent.

Missed out on LEH. Had it at the old house. Hoping that Lady of Shalott turns out okay.

Hi Pam, if you very slightly crop your pictures before posting, it turns them the right way up, there's a glitch in the system.

Stunning prospect. Is the land in the view privately owned @Pam285 ? I hope you get to keep it forever.
