I couldn't see how to give a gold star...so you only received a measly like...

For a platinum star, who mentored the Valentinos (edited to add - seeing @Logan4 post - and set up SAR records) and who did Bob marry - and who did his brother Cecil marry and form Womack & Womack with?

    No Googling though.....

Edited add: And final bonio point if you know what the inspiration to Janis Joplin's Mercedes Benz was

OctThis song is doing my head in. I heard it by mistake and now it has taken up residence. What orange juice has to the story I can't figure out.

Perhaps it just goes with the lyrics or you take orange juice after the cod liver oil. Can't see why they mention cod liver oil and orange juice anyway.

No idea without googling, it's way before my time when i got interested in music. Also I'm only interested in the songs, apart from the carpenters.

I found it - "At the time, young mothers received cod liver oil and orange juice aff the government to try'n make sure the wean and mother had a chance at being healthy".

The story of the song is about how Hairy Mary gets pregnant. It was written by Hamish in about 1968. He has other stories about Hairy Mary.

@steveTu, thanks so much for posting the Gordon Lightfoot track, l haven't heard it for years. Hadn't realised that it was about a real life event.
He was one of my favourite artists back in the day, can't believe l'd forgotten all about him 😳

It's a good song eh? I really didn't know his stuff - I knew the song 'If you could read my mind', but couldn't have told you who did it - but my wife had his greatest hits and I thought that track stood out.

Gorgeous. The moment you know you didn't know you needed flute duets in your life.

I think the bits of the vid with the graffiti, the tunnels and the runner is in my neighbourhood.
