Having lived in the Dartmoor National Park, is there a warmer side?  From my experience. elevation is far more significant.  Don't plant out until after last frost.  But be ready for a later one.  My ex-farmer neighbour always planted runner beans outdoors  on his mother's birthday.  I think that was late-May.  Near Chagford.

Regarding clearing away.  I always take down the poles at the end of the season, put the  greenstuff on the compost heap, stack away the good poles neatly, and start again afresh next year.  And I am not compulsive-obsesssive.
location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.

I keep the seeds,in an envelope which is stuffed into a glass jam jar,put in the wardrobe. Don't use sticks anymore, hubby made some Obelisks, which are moved around the veg plot for 3 year rotation.i have grown Firestorm for many years.
