Pittosporum Hedge - maximum variety height vs. target height
Hello all. I've been researching Pittosporum Tenuifolium varieties for quite a number of weeks now in efforts at determining which to use for a new urban front garden hedge. My favourite leaf is on the silver sheen - small leaf and a lovely lighter green green. My goal is a 1.2-1.5m tall hedge and I've read the silver sheen can grow 4-8m high. Am I likely to be fighting it forever to keep it short and therefore better off with a variety with a lower maximum height? My second favourite leaf is the wrinkled blue which has a maximum height of 2-4m. Less of a battle keeping it pruned to 1.5m you think? I don't have experience with mature Pittosporum so not sure how much this matters. I guess if the hedge shears are out they're out but given I'm starting afresh want to make the right selection. Thanks!

They can all be kept small with little effort.
I'd go with whichever one you like best.
