  • @DiggyDiggerson I am not sure I have the expertise to answer your question.
    Planting a tree should never be rushed even if you are in a hurry to cover an eye sore or give privacy. I recall hearing that fifty percent of trees planted in a domestic gardens are dug up within a few years because they just get too big or roots start to become an issue. From an environmental point of view this is a big concern,it is vital to get it right.
     
    Perhaps you could upload a photo of the site, include soil type and distances from buildings. Don't worry if photos load upside down. I am sure you will get some more information to help you decide.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
