Passion Flower Plant Troubles - Rot/Mould

Hello,

I have noticed some issues with my passion flower plant. Leaves and fruit are spotting brown and there is thick crumbs of white mould and, on some leaves a black powder.

Any idea what is going on? Many many thanks in advance

Nick

Have you checked for woolly aphids? They can be hard to shift and do a lot of savage.
  • Indeed it is. You were dead right. I've just spend an hour hosing them off. It's a big plant. I've been away for 10 days and the entire infestation must have happened then. It's really bad. Are you aware of any proper methods to get rid? Im not an experienced gardener and.ive not encountered these before.
    Many thanks!

Oh, dear, damage, not savage!!!. Though they are savage. No. I don't know how to get rid of them easily but it's one of those occasions when I would be prepared to use a systemic killer if you can find one. Otherwise, it's cleaning them off again and again. Is it an outdoor hardy one? Winter weather might do it. Horrible things.
  • Savage is the word. I stumped for some systemic killer (at least it says it does on the bottle). Seems hard to find though. It is an outdoor hardy one, it's across the half of the back of my house. Hoping colder weather will come soon! Many thanks for the identification. Really appreciated!
