Any recommendations for a lightweight lawnmower for a lady past her prime to mow a 15 metre square area, perhaps a self propelled model?

    Thank you Fire and B3, I’m pretty capable but I’m finding our petrol-driven model hard work, my friend has an ancient Wolf electric model which seems great but obsolete, just wondered if anyone had an easy model, perhaps a little more robust than a Flymo

    Our Flymo Easiglide seems robust enough for us … it’s done 11 summers here with no problems. Spare blades are easy to get. I know you have the cord to deal with but pop it over your shoulder and it keeps out of the way. Much lighter to manoeuvre than the battery ones I’ve come across so it doesn’t strain my shoulders and knees.  And it’s really inexpensive. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Would the (mains) electric Flymo be an option?  Light as a feather but doesn't collect the grass, if that's important.

    Thank you Dovefromabove and nick615, the Flymo looks ideal, much more robust than the old version I have for the front lawn
