Sunburnt Apples

Cox apples . The flat bit appears to be sunburn, it does not occur on the shaded side. If you cut one open the flesh has gone brown beneath the depression. I have had it with other apples too. 0

A round red spot on the green skin that was facing the sun appeared.
The pears seem ok, but the skin in the affected area is hardened.
