Propagating fuchsia splitting stems

Hi I read that you can propagate fuchsia by splitting the stem in half and putting this onto potting medium with a node. Apparently it’s a good method if you have a small piece of fuchsia you want to propagate with to maximise your yield. Has anyone tried this method, we’re you successful and can you do this with other plants too. Thank you

I just poke a bit in the soil or a glass of water. No leaves under soil or under water. Always plenty available so maximising yield isn't an issue - unless you're taking cuttings from a very small plant.

Yes, I have done this when my source material was limited.  I works.  You will have more losses, so itis not a method to guarantee higher yield.

I have done this with Hydrangeas, oleanders and Ficus.  Perhaps anything with a similar symmetricai  growth and a sappy stem.  Worth a try.

I normally just put 3in Fuchsias  in a glass of water.  Similar with Hydrangeas and oleanders.  Now is a good time.
