Turns out the water was in the legs, all drained now. £200 saved!

Excellent! Brilliant shredder. Mine doesn't owe me a thing. I've done masses of Laurel upto 3cm wide over the past few weeks.

Treat yourself to a new blade though. But check the current one first as it's reversible and may not have been turned over yet!

Just about to sharpen the blade on my new acquisition, will order a new one once I know it cuts ok.
  • New blade installed, I thought i'd give it a quick go in the garage, without a bag attached, surrounded by open tool boxes etc. OMG. It devoured the stick in 1 second and send a cloud of wooden shrapnel around the garage. That thing is a BEAST! I'm going to be finding bits in my garage for years to come  :D

    You've done well there @hiacedrifter :)

For anyone serious about composting I think a shredder is a must.

Mmmm :/  .... just wondering how would you tackle 1" thick woody branches such as those from mature Laurel?
