Is this a Penstemon?

Bought this at GW Live in June, Penstemon Onyx and Pearls, beautiful flowers, as in first pic.  Thinking of taking some cuttings to propagate and it now doesn't look anything like that, nor the ones Monty was demonstrating in the clip I've just watched! Any thoughts? (No, not the rose peeping in on the left!)

looks like one of the darker leaved Penstemon hybrids.
How can you lie there and think of England

Yes maybe Dark Towers or Husker Red

Looks like Penstemon digitalis ‘Husker Red Strain’ which I've got in my garden. Original flowers and lovely (semi-)evergreen foliage.

  • @Papi Jo, is yours hardy? I'm wondering what to do with it over winter? Have you ever propagated yours? Thanks

Yes, it's hardy. Too young yet for propagation.
