Crab Apple?

A few years ago now I bought a Malus Evereste as I wanted a small Crab Apple for the garden.
Now it’s producing a good crop of apples but these don’t look anything like Evereste to me.

How can I tell what I’ve got? Is this something to do with a graft gone wrong possibly?
