Help designing back boarder

Hi all,
Now here and just starting to get into gardening. I'm happy with 2 of my boarders but stumps about what to do at the back. I want to:
Thinking some bamboo and rhododendrons maybe a good start? Not adverse to moving things around either.... Not a fan of the overgrown buddleia personally
Any Ideas?

- Cover the houses at the back
- Hide the fences
- Have different heights, layers and colours....not just ferns or hostas
