Making a virtue out of necessity,  I'm letting my path  disappear for the good of the planet😇

I don't really have a "path" so much as earth clear from where I walk. So self seeders spring up all over and the path moves through the year and I love that.
  • I'd love to see a photo of your garden, @McRazz - I really want to encourage pretty weeds/wild flowers/self-seeding garden plants to colonise my gravel drive, but the neighbours are quite sniffy about it, and I've almost lost my nerve...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I'm definitely going to go for it, a little bit of cleared path to access and exit the grass.  We never used the path much anyway. It always has things overhanging it anyway. There will still be the slabs so that I can access the back of the extended bed.  Tiptoe through the VB🎶

. I will have to (hopefully before @Busy-Lizzie comes for coffee) but while I'm under the weather I'm ignoring them ...
As long as there is coffee and cake and a warm welcome, I’d consider it almost polite to leave some weeds or other signs of imperfection, to avoid making guests feel guilty or inadequate by comparison!
  • I have a forest of hollyhock seedlings in my gravel drive.

There was a gravelled front garden next door to me. I used to sow seeds in my garden. I never saw anything in my garden, but they looked lovely next door😞

I wish I would have a forest of HHs. The slugs snaffle every seedling
  • I've a small collection of Knautica in between my patio slabs.
