Cordyline Problem

Hi i put my cordyline into a bigger pot and it just died on me for some reason. I cut the trunk and about 3 months later new shoots started appearing. All was going great for a while but then the edges of the leaves have started to go brown and im not sure why. If anyone can advise me on what is going wrong and what i can do stop it it would be much appreciated.
Ill post some pictures.

It's normally the plain green species Cordyline that is grown outdoors. Yours is a variegated cultivar so will be less tolerant of outdoor conditions. I am sure someone on this site will disagree with me but I believe you would be better looking for the normal green Cordyline and growing your variegated cultivar somewhere sheltered or indoors. I don't know where you are.
The leaf damage looks like scorch.
  • There is a Cordyline which is grown as an indoor plant, but yours is one of the outdoor species.  Are there sufficient drainage holes in your container and is it elevated above the ground so that it can drain adequately?  Browning leaves can be a symptom of overwatering as well as underwatering, just to confuse us!

I agree that is the white part of a variegated leaf getting leaf-scorch.  Best to keep your plant out of the worst of the sun.

My neighbour has grown a 3m green "Torquat Paim in 10 years.  Looks good behind my hedge, and smells good when it flowers. Bu t I have lost 2 over the winter in pots.
