Second flush! No toilet humour please…

Now we finally have some rain of note in East Anglia the plants that I thought had gone over early seem to be having a great time. Lots of lovely new flowers, my salvia Hot Lips is looking brill, just hope we don’t have early frosts. Looking like a colourful Sept, what joy!

Whilst out with my dog earlier I passed a purple rhododendron with quite a few flowers just opening.
Then passed a property with a wisteria in full flower.

We've had errant magnolia and gardenia flowers around here, too. I planted some blueberry bushes this year and one died back from transplant shock. Now it's got loads of new growth including what look like flower buds, so I may end up with September/October blueberries!
