Has anyone ever known Paulownia tomentosa to sucker. About 2 to 3 metres from annually pollarded parent?

I would think that is possible. A friend often had babies potted up and I don't think thet were cuttings. Hopefully others can help.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Yes, they are well known for suckering.

Grown them for 35 years in 5 different gardens/counties. This is the first one that has suckered. Just hope my neighbours don't mind.
