Gazania propagation

I have some which I'd like to propagate from cuttings or division.
Which way would you suggest, please, and is this a good time of year to start?

    Divide them. I did mine in the spring. Not sure if there's a better time. The ones I potted are fine as I could protect them in those really got days we had.but the ones in the ground suffered a bit with the heat. In a normal year, I think they would have been fine in the ground.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
