Looked like a predictive text typo to me anyway so like most sensible people ( I count myself as one) , I ignored it.  It happens to me all the time. That's why I have so many edits.

    In London. Keen but lazy.

Don't let these wums and annoying folk get to you @Wildlifelover. It puts me off the forum too, but, as @philippasmith2 says, the ignore button is the best solution in this sort of scenario. It means you can enjoy threads without having to see the rubbish  :)

@deltalady22 - do you have moisture retentive soil? If so, you might consider one of the Hydrangeas. They prefer some shade, but if the Thailctrum's happy, it should be ok. For a sunnier, drier site, the Ceanothus mentioned would be good. They're certainly 'blue'.

If you have a photo of the site you're wanting a plant for, that would also help  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Oh yes, didn't think of hydrangeas I have the Shining diamond  blue angel and it really is a beautiful in your face blue. I have it in part shade under a eucalyptus.

@Wildlifelover, as others have said, please don't let it put you off posting. I know it's easier said than done, especially when you feel "got at", but that way the WUMs have won.

As for @deltalady22, there are several salvias including this one,

but it would be helpful if you could give a bit more information, such as location, soil type etc.
     :)
  • Thanks for the words of support, it’s very much appreciated. I have learnt so much on here, it has been invaluable to my first venture into gardening.
