Broccoli sprouting white too late to sow now?

I'm just sorting seed packets and found Broccoli sprouting white and on the packet says sow May, any chance I would have a crop if sowed now?

    it is bit late to sow for fall crop.

    You could grow it for greens, particularly if you find a way to protect them from frost...

    I’d wait until next year. It’s not the length of time that’s so important, although that is a factor … the most important thing is to get good sturdy plants established in the growing season (May - September) before the plants slow down during the shorter daylight hours and cooler temperatures in the winter. 

    Then in the spring, as the temperatures rise and the daylight hours lengthen, the plants put on more growth and it’s then that the lovely white broccoli shoots appear. 

    White sprouting broccoli really is a gourmet veg, and so rarely available in the shops. Grow it properly and enjoy it. 😊

    I'm quite enjoying my misunderstanding - I thought you were saying your broccoli seeds had produced white sprouts!
