Thanks for the update on over 65s, guys! Just back from taking OH for his booster (75+) and have just now booked to go back tomorrow for mine. I’m wondering if I could have got jabbed today as a walk in if I’d known earlier, but it was pretty busy, so I suspect not. OH says they asked at several different check points if he had an appointment. Took about 20 minutes in all, although the leaflet they gave him said there was no need to wait for 15 minutes after the jab UNLESS you were driving, in which case, it said to wait 15 minutes, because of the possibility of fainting. Headed then to a nearby farm shopping centre for consolation treats, got a selection of home grown veg, and I grabbed a bagful of damsons! Will make a pot of my favourite jam!
OH has just had his fifth jab. First two, then a booster last year, then a spring booster the day after his 75th birthday, and today he had his autumn booster. Being a little younger than him, I wasn’t eligible for the spring booster, but am now eligible for the autumn one, so I will only have had 4 in total.
I have an appt next month for covid autumn booster (6th covid jab) and flu jab. Not taking the covid one as I was so unwell after no. 5 but will take the flu one.

I’ve had my Autumn Booster today (autocorrect seems to think I had an Autumn Bolster 😂). All my previous jabs were Pfizer … today’s was Moderna Bivalent which has been developed to deal with the newer variants. 😊 Hardly felt the jab and feel fine so far … 👍
Flu jab booked for 26th.

Had my autumn booster this afternoon. Didn’t feel anything at all, great technique ( or I’m getting thin skinned!) Quite a queue. A bit insulted that I wasn’t given the two covid related leaflets my older husband was given yesterday, but was given an Age Concern leaflet instead! And I was wearing a mask, which should have hidden a few wrinkles! My first two jabs were AstraZeneca, and my booster was Pfizer. Today’s was Modena, the charmingly named Spikevax!

Is that an advance we should be looking out for?
I wouldn't at all be surprised if I was handed Age Concern leaflets, together pamphlets on how to 'write your will', donate your organs' and 'end of ife support'. It's one of those weeks.
