Yes quite right but both were taught to be savvy and were ok before uni kicked it out of them .They suff them full of knowledge and remove any common sense they’ve gathered or been taught
  • If they had some to start with it usually returns after a few years in the world of work  … when I got a job with social services Ma said ‘at last they’ve got someone with some common sense’ … 🫤 … until then she’d never seemed to think I had any 😝

That’s because these days everyone goes to university and has their common sense removed ! I know ! It happened to both my sons!
Which is exactly what education is for:

My choice would be a water blast of some sort, whether it be from a hose or a 'Super Soaker' gun.  If people simply had the common sense not to feed them the problem would diminish greatly.
    That reminds me:

Last week I was in the hammock again and I saw a fox come into the garden from next door.

A full croissant in its mouth.

Theres no way it’s stealing that from rubbish, and it was the afternoon so I don’t think it was stolen at all.  Just how middle class are you to be feeding foxes croissants?!

I have located and armed two super soakers, one by the hammock and one by the garden door.  If he comes at me again, I’m ready. 💪

I wouldn't be so sure it couldn't have found a full croissant - my greyhound has turned up all sorts of surprising discarded treats.

It's a real problem though isn't it. I don't think it's possible to reinstate the fear, to be honest and I think we will just have to control their numbers somehow.

Next door feeds them. They come up  very close to their house. We don't . They stay about 10ft away . They do doggy things but they're not dogs. They are wild animals and should be treated as such. It's better for them and it's better for us.

@B3 I agree totally.  Far too many people view them as cuddly, fluffy doggies.  That's fine until the cuddly, fluffy doggy either attacks a person or a pet.
