Viburnum leaf problem

Does anyone know what's happening to this viburnum? The leaves are all turning a kind of silvery-brown. It's not crispy like a dried leaf so I don't think it's the recent heatwaves. But any advice from the experts on here would be appreciated. Many thanks

Sunburn - I also had viburnum davidii and found it performed better in a shadier part of the garden. It is a beautiful shrub - especially if you get berries.
The leaves covered in tiny spots could indicate spider mites, but it would be a massive infestation to cause such damage.
If it is spider mites, you'll see lots of very small webs toward the top of the plants and if you look at the underside of an affected leaf with a magnifying glass you should be able to spot them.

The shrub is probably OK but will likely loose all the affected leaves over winter.
You can trim it up in the spring if there are any dead bits, but it should regrow OK next year - weather permitting
