What are these caterpillars on my stocks??

Hi all, it's my first year growing stocks from seeds. They are now decent sized plants but I just noticed these millions of small caterpillars on one of them! What are they and how do I get rid of them please....? Warning: Disturbing picture below

Stocks are a Crucifer … a type of brassica like cabbages and sprouts. They are also  targets of the Cabbage white butterflies 🙄

Pick them off and put them on the bird table or in a compost bin or …

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Thanks both! Think I've heard about those hence decided that I'm not going to bother growing cabbages... but here they are, and I'll delegate the job of getting rid of them to my partner...  :D
