Dahlia

Hi all

I have attached a photo of a dahlia that has come from one of my dahlia plants, the petals have seemed to have gone brown around the edge.

Has any one else had this problem? Is it just lacking in something. I have given them a good watering and some tomato feed.

Some of my roses look similar recently.
It's down to the hot weather, baking sun and not much rain.
Flowers on my rose that are just opening now are fine.

The flowers only last a few days. You then dead head them and other blooms will come on.

🤔 The ones I have down the bottom of the garden they last about week in flower. Although they are more in the shade.

It could be just the lack of rain that's made them dry out sooner. The one in the photo is in a raised bed in direct sunlight.

I'd say give several buckets of water every other day and stop feeding.

I don't need to worry about watering now as we have had 4 days of rain here 😄
