I have given them quite a lot of water, and seems that the “curling leaves” with that white “powder” that had infested them has dissipitated over winter. Have now cut them back quite hard, and hope that they will recover with time… The drought and whatever attacked them took its toll though…. :(

Should I also give them some extra nutrition, or just plenty of water?

,lots of water from wherever you can get it ,be it tap ,bath ,wash up water whatever .
Don’t be buying treatments until you’re sure you need them .
I disagree with the first statement,  One can drown in too much water, and so can plant roots.  Good drainage is also recommended.  The two must be balanced with respect to different plant needs.

But I agree with the 2nd.

Thank you Bédé, that of course makes sense. I suppose my question about the fertilizing / nourishing is: do you think I need it? I just know that they haven’t done well (compared to my other ones that are all happily green and healthy), so the question is “do I now need (or benefit from) some extra nutrition you think?
