    Oranges and Lemons?

Here’s a photo of Oranges and Lemons that I took at Hever Castle for comparison

  • Thank you so much - No doubt about it that's the one for sure .  We have a book on roses but the image for Oranges & Lemons did not resemble your photo or the one we took earlier today of ours so glad you've confirmed this !

No worries — here are a few other bicolour roses that look similar:

Yours looks a very healthy and lovely rose, whichever one it is

I was going to say Oranges and Lemons too! I saw it at Hever Castle and OH liked it so much I bought one from Peter Beales Classic Roses.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Thank you both for your replies. The rose was taken as a cutting by my husband from a very old, unkempt bush in our neighbour's garden a couple of years ago. We were watering their tomatoes for them when they were on holiday and saw it in the undergrowth. This year it has done really well. We still have it in a container but hope to plant it out at some point in the future. I think it also resembles 'Dancing Sunset' but hasn't shown any tendancy yet to climb so 'Oranges and Lemons' is the favoured identification. Really looking forward to adding it to our rose garden. Glad we saved it as the original has sadly been ripped out and destroyed by a new neighbour 😞
