Can you help identify these 2 plants

Hi,
I’ve got a couple of plants growing that I can’t seem to identify by googling them, can you help? The first one was randomly growing out between my decking so I gently pulled it up and potted it, it’s growing really fast. The 2nd one is popping up around my garden and in a couple of pots.

    The first one I think is something in the pumpkin/squash family. The second one looks a lot like my veronicastrum seedlings - not saying that's definitely what it is, but if you have one in the garden it's a possibility. I didn't think either were particularly self-sowers but perhaps the hot dry summer had something to do with it.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Thanks! I hadn’t thought of a fruit/veg for the first one! I shall let them keep going and see what happens! 😃
