Fence toppers

Hi all,
I want to extend the height of my boundary fence to add a bit more privacy. Ive measured my fence panels, and they are all different widths! Does anyone know if fence toppers (the lattice/trellis type) can be cut to width?
Thanks

  • You can get the expanding type ( both plastic and wood ) so to a certain extent, you can alter height/width to suit the fence panel.
I suppose if you were "handy" enough, cutting could work but fiddly and maybe risking reducing their strength ?
A made to measure is also possible if you know of a timber merchant in your area but could be a wee bit pricey.
I'm sure someone on here will have the solution - they usually do  :)

With ordinary wooden trellis panels you might have to take off the "frame" (sorry I don't know the proper terminology) from the original end that you cut off and reattach it.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
