Plant identification

Hello
Does anyone recognise this plant?  It resembles a sweet pea, but has no perfume whatsoever and the flowers last a lot longer.  It comes up in the garden every year.

  • I think it’s the Everlasting Pea which is the perennial form of the annual sweet pea. They didn’t often have any scent.

I think the Latin name is Lathyrus latifolius , not 100% certain. There's Lathyrus vernus as well.
  • Thank you so much.  I have looked it up and that's definitely what it is.
Yes, it's beautiful, so hope to propagate for next year.

Lathyrus vernus is the spring pea. It makes a delightful little bush covered with rosy pea flowers early in the year. I haven't noticed mine seeding around, but I've collected some seed to have a go myself, as it's lovely :)
