Help moving plants
Afternoon, I have zero experience of gardening. We are moving house - just 500 metres away from our current place. We have the pictured two trees at our old place that are sentimentally valuable to my partner. Could someone advise how I should go about digging them up and replanting them. Any tips or tricks will be greatly appreciated as I don't have a clue! I would also be interested to know what kind of plants they are? Thanks in advance!

Presumably you have notified the new owners that you will be removing them as they are quite an obvious feature ?
They will have a fair root system on them I think and will take some digging up - not the best time of year to do it really but up to you obviously. If you plan to go ahead, then a good watering beforehand and make a well prepared planting hole to set them in at your new house. The less time in between the two, the better.
Whilst you say they have sentimental value for your partner, it may be a lot simpler to kiss them Goodbye and leave them in situ.
Others may have different advice but good luck with your move whichever option you choose
