Actinidia Kolomitka

I have 2 Actinidia kolomitka planted 3 years ago against a fence in a wall bed about 15" wide. It had a few pink sploshes on a few leaves after the first year. a few this last spring but the pink fades to green. Is this normal? How can I get it to have more pink splashes. It was the reason for buying it after all!

Is it in full sun (south-facing fence and not shaded by buildings or other plants)? Apparently that's what it needs for the foliage to develop the pink colour  https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/413/actinidia-kolomikta/details .
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Actinidia kolomitka is not the easiest of plants.  I can only say wait - prhaps a long time.
location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.

Is it in a sunny spot?  It needs full sun for mist of the day to produce the pink colouration. If it’s not getting enough sun the leaves will be green all over.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • I grew an Actonidia Kolmikta in a previous garden, against a S. facing brick wall where it thrived with no particular care. I loved it, plenty of variegation as well. It was in a very hot dry location. Spectacular.
Sadly the new owners cut it down soon after moving in. I am not sure you can reclaim the colouring unless the plant is starved for a year or two, once reversion has happened there is not much chance, was it planted too deeply?
I would be inclined to dig it up and keep it in a large container before abandoning it totally.
    Good luck.
