Laurel Hedge

Is anyone able to help??
We planted our Laurel hedge back in March and have given it a lot of care and attention over the months, especially in the recent heat (thorough watering every night).
However almost over night, several of the plants have gone incredibly dry and look very unhealthy (see pics).
Any suggestion why might have caused this and how to remedy?

Many thanks

I think those leaves have literally been scorched by the incredibly high temperatures and very bright sunlight we’ve had over the past few weeks.
Although it looks bad I don’t think there’s anything for you to do other than to continue to water your hedge generously  (particularly during periods of dry weather) until the winter.
A mulch of organic matter over the root area will help the soil to retain moisture …  I find composted bark is good, but bark chippings are also good.
