Small yellow fruits ID please

UffUff Posts: 3,199
Someone has just dropped these off for me to use, possibly chutney. Sweet and about the size of a 20p piece. They came from an old garden so could be anything. I was told they were yellow damsons but they don't taste like a damson and not the same shape.
Anyone any idea what they are please?

    Possibly Mirabelle plums.

Well done both and thank you. I knew I could rely on someone. I reckon I shall be busy making chutney tomorrow.

We have inherited Mirabelle plums here.  Far too sweet and bland for my taste so I leave them for the birds but OH occasionally gathers a few.
